Core Values
Inclusive
It’s no secret that Colorado has had more than it’s share of controversies surrounding inclusivity in the wedding industry. You can count on JayBird Events to deliver the same high - quality service to every couple, regardless of orientation, identity, or ethnicity.
Along with our promise of inclusivity comes a promise of 100% judgement free wedding planning. Is your dream wedding dripping with crystals? Let’s do it! Traditional church ceremony? Awesome! Full of color and unique, personal touches? Perfect!
Eco - Conscious
In 2023 there were 43,595 weddings in Colorado alone. Thinking of how much waste comes from one wedding then multiplying it by 43,595 is sure to send your head spinning. JayBird Events is dedicated to doing anything we can to lower the waste from our weddings and keep our beautiful state one of the most popular wedding destinations!
By partnering with great local companies like Scraps Mile High JayBird couples have the option to have composting and recycling at their wedding with no added stress!
JayBird couples have immediate access to our inventory of real touch, real looking fake flowers. These flowers are returned and re-used by future JayBird couples, rather than being used once then thrown away! They also require no water and cost a fraction of the price of fresh flowers.

About Our Name
JayBird Events is named in honor of Moriah’s father, Stephen Jay Nelson, who we lost unexpectedly in 2021. He had a deep love for the outdoors—whether it was white water rafting, fishing, camping, or hiking—and he shared that passion with her from an early age.
Steve was an avid environmentalist, always reminding her to leave a place “better than you found it” and to be mindful of our impact on the world around us.
